Electric scooters are scooters powered by electricity and an electric motor instead of an internal combustion engine. Their look and overall shape is the same as in the case of traditional scooters. The only difference is the fuel they are powered on. For electric scooters, you should charge the battery instead of refueling. Battery power drives our scooter’s engine. The principle of operation is therefore similar to the operation of electric scooters or our phones.
The scooters themselves are available in different variants, and more and more companies producing such machines are appearing on the market. Electric scooters are available in two forms – for sale and for rent. This trend means that we can choose from a growing range of electric scooters in stores and use them in the form of sharing on the streets of large cities. Scooters are treated as mopeds, have a limit of 45 km/h and should have the same authority to drive them as for a moped.
Costs and prices of use

For electric scooters this is not entirely true. We can buy electric scooters from the sum of approx. 3000 – 4000 PLN. Renting is usually approx. 0,50 PLN per minute. In monthly or hourly passes, the price is even more attractive. A very interesting financial statistic is the cost of traveling with a scooter. It is much smaller than when traveling with a traditional scooter. An average gasoline scooter can burn 3 liters of gasoline per 100 km, which gives a sum of around PLN 15-20. The electric scooter consumes about 3 kWh per 100 km, which costs about 3-4 PLN. Such a significant difference is noticeable and very beneficial in the case of electric machines.
